Since the topic comes up multiple times daily during the month of December, I’ve come up with a list of restaurants open on Christmas day in Savannah.
NOTE: The information below was for Christmas of 2023. I’ll start updating this post in November of 2024 as restaurants begin planning their holiday hours and menus.
I’ve contacted each of these restaurants within 30 days of Christmas to verify that they’ll be open, but it’s always a good idea to double check before showing up. I made sure to note the restaurants that said they may end up closing if they can’t find enough workers.

A good general rule of thumb is that the closer you are to the river, the more likely you are to find restaurants open for the holidays — especially if those restaurants are attached to hotels.
For that reason, the majority of these restaurants are located either in the Historic District or the Plant Riverside District.

Ok, so it’s a bar, not a restaurant, but for those of you who count slushies as sustenance, Wet Willies can quench your thirst on Christmas day.
