Are you planning to visit Savannah in June and in need of some fun events to fill your calendar?

Look no further; I’ve got you covered with a list of some of the top events happening in the city this month. I included a wide variety, so there should be a little something for everyone!

Be sure to also check out the top annual events in Savannah if you’re visiting during a different time of year.

The Weather and Flowers Blooming in June

June is hot and muggy, so dress accordingly. High temps are usually in the 90s.

Plan your outdoor activities in the early morning or late evening hours to stay cool(er), wear sunscreen, and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Pop-up thunderstorms might happen in the afternoons.

Count on seeing plenty of colorful hydrangeas and purple agapanthus blooms this month.

For detailed information, check out my guide to Savannah’s weather by month.

Top Events for the Month

Summer in the South is too hot to host large annual events, so you won’t find many major outdoor gatherings during June.

Savannah celebrates Juneteenth, though! I’ve marked events with a black heart emoji 🖤 I also wrote a separate post specifically about Juneteenth events in Savannah.

Note that most Pride events, other than Stonewall, happen during October when the weather is cooler.

I always mark my personal favorite events with a star emoji ⭐

Organizers may change an event’s location, date, or time on short notice, so please double-check the links before heading out to an event! I’m good about keeping this list updated, but sometimes last-minute changes happen.
