Are you planning to visit Savannah in June and find yourself in need of some fun events to fill your calendar?
Look no further; I’ve got you covered with a list of some of the top events happening in the city this month. I included a wide variety, so there should be a little something for every type of traveler (or local)!
Be sure to also check out the top annual events in Savannah if you’re visiting during a different time of year.

The Weather and Flowers Blooming in June
June is hot and muggy, so dress accordingly. High temps are usually in the 90s.
Plan your outdoor activities in the early morning or late evening hours to stay cool(er), wear sunscreen, and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Pop-up thunderstorms might happen in the afternoons.
As for what’s blooming, count on seeing plenty of colorful hydrangeas and purple agapanthus blooms.
If you prefer more detailed information, check out my guide to Savannah’s weather by month.
Top Events for the Month
Summer in the South is too hot to host large annual events, so you won’t find many major celebrations this month.
Savannah does celebrate Juneteenth, though!
Most Pride events happen during October when the weather is cooler.
Organizers may change an event’s location, date, or time on short notice, so please double-check the links before heading out to an event! I’m good about keeping this list updated, but sometimes last-minute changes happen.
