The Weather and Flowers Blooming in June

June is hot and muggy, so dress accordingly. High temps are usually in the 90s.

Plan your outdoor activities in the early morning or late evening hours to stay cool(er), wear sunscreen, and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Pop-up thunderstorms might happen in the afternoons.

Count on seeing plenty of colorful hydrangeas and purple agapanthus blooms this month.

Top Events for the Month

Summer in the South is too hot to host large annual events, so you won’t find many major celebrations during June.

Savannah celebrates Juneteenth, though! I’ve marked events with a black heart emoji 🖤
