If you’re planning to visit Savannah in February, you might luck out and get a good deal on accommodations. January and February are two of the slower months of the year, so they’re often considered “shoulder season.”
Tourism usually picks up towards the end of the month as the weather warm up and the flowers start to bloom, and there are a couple major annual events in Savannah during February, so that’s a perk.

Savannah’s Weather in February
The weather during February can vary greatly, so I highly suggest checking your weather app a few days prior to your trip.
The beginning of the month sees cooler temps and it can be rather mild towards the end of the month. Overall, February is rather dry.

The Top Events in February
The most popular events this month are the Savannah Irish Festival, the Savannah Book Festival, and Super Museum Sunday.
The Irish Festival is the earliest of the city’s St. Patrick’s events (which tend to kick into high gear during March), the Savannah Book Festival brings celebrated authors from around the globe to Savannah, and Super Museum Sunday allows free entry into dozens of the top museums in the city.
