April is a fantastic time to visit Savannah!
There are a few major annual events, such as the Savannah Music Festival, SCAD’s popular Sidewalk Arts Festival, and the NOGS Tour of Hidden Gardens.
It’s also an ideal month to head outdoors, enjoy the mild weather, and soak up some sunshine before it gets too hot and humid.

Savannah Weather in April
Temperatures start to rise during April, so expect warm afternoons bookended by pleasant mornings and evenings. There are usually only 6 or 7 days with any noticeable rainfall.
Weather-wise, you couldn’t really ask for a better time!
The only real complaint for the month is some lingering pollen that might affect your allergies.

The Top Events for the Month
The Savannah Music Festival, SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival, Publix Women’s 5k, and NOGS Tour of Hidden Gardens are the biggest events during the month.
If your travel dates coincide with those, I suggest booking your hotel or home rental early and making reservations at the most well-known restaurants as soon as possible.
